Lent 2019

It is a time to focus on our spiritual life by turning away from sin and committing ourselves more fully to following Jesus Christ. 
Here in the parish there are many ways to take part in the Lent traditions of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Many people choose to abstain from alcohol during Lent. Please consider taking the short- term Lenten Pledge Lenten Pledge -

I promise in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and with the help of the Blessed Virgin Mary to abstain from all alcoholic drink during Lent.   

Stations of the Cross will be prayed each weekday at 12noon.

Lent DevotionsVespers and Benediction, the traditional evening prayer of the Church, will be celebrated on the six Sunday evenings of Lent in
All Saints’ Church at 7 00pm.

Trocaire Lent Appeal – Trocaire boxes are available to collect in our churches during Lent to be returned on Holy Thursday.  Trocaire was
established by the Catholic Church in 1973 as a way for Irish people to donate to development and emergency relief overseas.

Children’s Liturgy - To comply with Safeguarding Standards, it is necessary to register all children attending Children’s Liturgy.
Registration forms will be available for parents/ guardians to complete on Sunday 10th and 17th March in the Parish Centre after 10.00am Mass.

We welcome all primary school children to join with us each Sunday.


Repository, Gift and Holy Shop – Monday – Saturday 10 30am-
1 30pm. Gifts and cards are now available for 1st Holy Communion

Evangelising the Baptised will recommence -Tuesday 2 April at
7 30pm.


Coffee Morning for African Missions – Friday 5 April after 10am Mass. Everyone welcome.           


Annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Venerable Matt Talbot - Saturday 27 April - with Concelebrated Mass at 12.30
